The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is an amazing read. This book is an extraordinary look at chance and the power of family and love. At 17, Hadley Sullivan must travel to London for her father's wedding. Months have passed, in hopes that something would happen so she would not have to attend. Having missed her flight by 4 minutes, she is stuck at JFK and is soon to be late to her father's wedding. In the airport's cramped waiting area, she meets Oliver, His hair is a bit too long and there are crumbs down the front of his shirt, but there's something striking about him, too, who she will also sit in the same row as she. Countless hours in the air, or even the thought, trigger bursts of claustrophobia for Hadley. Oliver distracts her the entire plane ride with cheesy jokes and small talk. The time seemed to fly by. While in baggage claim, they lose one another; can fate intervene and bring them together once more? This book is a short read that is set over a twenty-four hour period. The story of Oliver and Hadley will make you believe that true love finds you when you are least expecting it, and is key for anyone for a cute romance read!

Review: Cruel Summer

Alright, this book was VERY different from what I am used to reading. The format of this book is in emails, blogs, and in a journal of the narrator, Colby Catherine Cavendish. It took me a bit to get used to the format (with no definite chapters), but the overall story line was enjoyable. Colby is sent away to live with her "crazy" Aunt Tally and her boyfriend (Tassos) in Greece while her parents are fighting and eventually divorce. And just as Colby was anticipating a summer with the popular kids at school (she dumped her friend of like 7 years for this popular group), she has to spend her summer in Greece. With no cell-phone reception, no tv or computers, Colby spends the first half of her summer mostly in an internet cafe, posting a blog. She soon meets Yannis, a Greek local, who makes her realize that Americans are to materialistic, and forces her to see herself and the life she left behind in a totally new way. From Tally, Tassos, and Yannis, Colby discovers her true self, in which I soon began to sympathize her. Beginning as a spoiled, bratty, whiny teenager, and becoming so much more really made the book readable. If you are looking for a short and quick read of teen romance (that is not steamy), then this is the perfect summer read!!:)

Alexa Riley is simply a phenomenal duo who writes with heart, spice, and sass. This book is the sequel to their Everything for Her, which encompasses the lives of Mallory, Paige, Ryan, and Miles. Ryan (aka Captain America) Justice is head over heels for Paige Turner. Even though Ryan may be her boss, nothing will stop him from making her his. With Paige faced with a dark past and continually attempting revenge on her father, her need of Ryan gets in the way and redirects her focus. Secrets as emense as the ones of Ryan and Paige do not spoil the true love they share. Ryan will do ANYTHING to fix everything for the woman he loves (**spoil alert** he kills someone), and Paige has always been his, until death does them part.
When we make love, it's soft and sweet, and we both smile while we kiss. It's like we can't believe that we've gotten to this next step. Afterward, when we've each exhausted the other, I hold her and we talk about the future. Our future.

Review: Everything for Her

'I've watched her since the beginning. It's funny, but I don't really remeber much begre her. It's as if I could split my life into two halves. Before her and after her...'
After every book I read, I feel like I say it is my favorite. Gideon Cross from the Crossfire series, Bennett Ryan from the Beautiful series, and Miles (Oz) Henry Osbourne from this book are just AMAZING!! As much as I love romance books, the even better part about this book is the suspence that is also introduced. Mallory Sullivan is an orphaned girl who got a full ride scholarship to Yale, and was the recipent of the very first internship at one of the most prestigious businesses in New York (coincidence?!). While at a bar to celebrate her first day with her roommate, she meets Oz. Mallory has not dated much, and is not that into flirting, dating, or really anything beyond her job until she meets Oz. After one encounter with Oz, Mallory can't get enough of him.
'From the beginning, I knew that she would be my greatest achievement, so the day I let her go, I set down a path for her. A path to me. No one knows its been me behind the curtain, pulling the strings. I've consructed everything in our lives so that at the perfect moment, I could have her...'
Miles Osbourne has a complete obsession of Mallory since the first time he laid eyes on her, and now that she works in the same building as he, he is now able to truly meet and be with her. He is the SWEETEST man I have ever read about (fangirling), and one must truly read this book to see all of the romantic gestures and comments throughout the entire novel. (BTW, I read this in like 2 days, it was that good)!

'The first time I saw you, I though I'd woken up in the land of Oz', he says, trailing kisses down y wrist. 'It was like seeing color for the first time'
To those who have not read this book, but just read this review, Oz may seem like a pyschopathic stalker, but I am here to tell you that he is not; he is the sweetest man any woman could ask for, and it is a darn shame that he is a fictional character. But this book is so heartfelt, be sure to have plently of tissues with you!

Review: One with You

One with You by Sylvia Day

I cannot believe that I finally made it to the end of Eva and Gideon's story! Similar to other books like Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen, this series is told in both the perspectives of Gideon and Eva, which has the novel come around full circle, as alternating chapters share different points of view and help the character's complexity through all 5 books. There is SO much to say about this book, the main being that this is my favorite series EVER! In this last book, Eva is faced with countless depressing yet self-strengthening acts that only seem to bring her and Gideon closer than ever before. Over the course of the series, their love for each other transformed into something; bringing two damaged souls into one. It is so heartening to read about two damaged people who love each other so deeply and eternally that makes you believe that love can blossom from any life. In this novel (Eva and Gideon are married), fights break out, but it only gives their relationship strength and power, making it seem that nothing will ever seperate them.
"His hand curved around my nape, the hold possessive and tender at once. His face was impassive, giving nothing away, but his eyes… those blue, blue eyes… they raged with emotion. “We’re going to make it, angel.”
This book and series for that matter are simply a piece of art. I was saddened when I realized that this book was the end of the Crossfire series, but Sylvia Day truly brought a feeling of fullfillment and satisfaction that no other ending could have brought. If a book of sass, humor, and a searing love story intrigues you, then this is the series for you!!:)

Review: Entwined with You

Sylvia Day time and time again surpasses her works of literature, especially with her third novel in the Crossfire series. As the third book, the novel continues the lives of Eva Trammel and gorgeous Gideon Cross with their dark pasts and their consequences of their obsessive desires. This novel picks up on the act that Gideon performed that conveys to the reader how in love with Eva he really is. However, in order to achieve his plan, he must cut Eva out of his life, and to make it seem that this perfect couple broke up. Eva was devastated, and when she finally discovers the truth about what Gideon has done, she’s both deeply touched by his actions and horrified that he’s gone as far as he has. Now that Gideon (<3) is back in her life (although it must remain a secret, a police investigation is taking place on the act of Nathan's murder. The couple must continue to sneak around as a couple, even though Eva is unable to forgive Gideon for hurting her and she can not keep her hands off of him. As the two are finding their way, the usual dramas are in Eva's life; problems with her money-obsessed mother, her supportive father, her crazy roommate Cary, and Eva being tracked 24/7.

What is to say about this AMAZING novel? I devoured this novel, and once I picked it up, it was hard for me to put down. I cried (more times than I'll admit), laughed, and enjoyed every single page in this novel. If you are looking for a romatintic, steamy, sexy, and compelling plot, then this is the series for you!

J. Lynn writes book after book after book, and each one is better than the last, including my latest read, Fire In You, the sixth book in Lynn's Wait for You series. This book begins with Jillian, who is starting a new job, and attempting to start a new life to get away from her tragic past. As a little girl, and into her teens, she had been best friends with Brock 'the Beast' Mitchell, who "coincidentally" falls back into her life at the worst possible moment... a first date! Jillian waves it off and somewhat hits it off with her date. Her job starts the following Monday, and she is anticipating working for her father; Lima Academy is in her blood. She goes to work, and her boss is none other than Brock Mitchell. Jillian never expected Brock to be part of her life again, but before she knows it, he is firmly back in her life, with no chance of leaving. For weeks working together, casual flirting occurs, until Jillian realizes that Brock indeed does not have a fiancee. From there, "what begins as a tentative friendship quickly turns to red-hot chemistry that sparks a flame that burns brighter than lust". Jillian falling for Brock again (she has been in love with him since she was 7) risks much more than her heart, and when a sorrowful and guilt-ridden past resurfaces, will a web of lies threaten all that they have accomplished in their relationship? This book has just the amount of sexy, heart, humor, and romance rolled into one, and is surely a must-read for those who love such a book.
