Review: Beautiful Stranger

Beautiful Stranger Beautiful Stranger by Christina Lauren
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Beautiful Stranger is the sequel to the Beautiful Bastard series. From book one, I was absolutely obsessed. Beautiful Bastard elaborates on the love story of Chloe and Bennett, but this second novel elaborates on the romance of Sara Dillon and Max Stella. Sara Dillon just moved to New York City, and she "is looking for excitement and passion without a lot of strings attached". She just ended a relationship with Andy, who cheated and lied to her, and Sara is not ready for a relationship; until she meets British Max Stella. and Max Stella is known in the whole city that he loves women, but he has never found one to keep around, until Sara Dillon. Sara and Max hook up the night they meet at the dance club, and once they are together, there is no way to separate them. For weeks and weeks, Sara and Max hook up "in places where anybody could catch them", and soon after, they are ready to take things further. Sara and Max, on their own terms, have faced facts that what they share is not lust(although that was what brought them together), but true love. However, when rumors and lies are spread about, this is the deciding factor for Max and Sara to really take the chance at true love. This novel, and the ones before and after it, are sexy, smart, riveting, and are novels that are able to be finished in a matter of mere hours. This book, and the series are for those who love a "smart plot" and just simply love a romance novel.
