Sylvia Day time and time again surpasses her works of literature, especially with her third novel in the Crossfire series. As the third book, the novel continues the lives of Eva Trammel and gorgeous Gideon Cross with their dark pasts and their consequences of their obsessive desires. This novel picks up on the act that Gideon performed that conveys to the reader how in love with Eva he really is. However, in order to achieve his plan, he must cut Eva out of his life, and to make it seem that this perfect couple broke up. Eva was devastated, and when she finally discovers the truth about what Gideon has done, she’s both deeply touched by his actions and horrified that he’s gone as far as he has. Now that Gideon (<3) is back in her life (although it must remain a secret, a police investigation is taking place on the act of Nathan's murder. The couple must continue to sneak around as a couple, even though Eva is unable to forgive Gideon for hurting her and she can not keep her hands off of him. As the two are finding their way, the usual dramas are in Eva's life; problems with her money-obsessed mother, her supportive father, her crazy roommate Cary, and Eva being tracked 24/7.

What is to say about this AMAZING novel? I devoured this novel, and once I picked it up, it was hard for me to put down. I cried (more times than I'll admit), laughed, and enjoyed every single page in this novel. If you are looking for a romatintic, steamy, sexy, and compelling plot, then this is the series for you!

Review: Fire in You

J. Lynn writes book after book after book, and each one is better than the last, including my latest read, Fire In You, the sixth book in Lynn's Wait for You series. This book begins with Jillian, who is starting a new job, and attempting to start a new life to get away from her tragic past. As a little girl, and into her teens, she had been best friends with Brock 'the Beast' Mitchell, who "coincidentally" falls back into her life at the worst possible moment... a first date! Jillian waves it off and somewhat hits it off with her date. Her job starts the following Monday, and she is anticipating working for her father; Lima Academy is in her blood. She goes to work, and her boss is none other than Brock Mitchell. Jillian never expected Brock to be part of her life again, but before she knows it, he is firmly back in her life, with no chance of leaving. For weeks working together, casual flirting occurs, until Jillian realizes that Brock indeed does not have a fiancee. From there, "what begins as a tentative friendship quickly turns to red-hot chemistry that sparks a flame that burns brighter than lust". Jillian falling for Brock again (she has been in love with him since she was 7) risks much more than her heart, and when a sorrowful and guilt-ridden past resurfaces, will a web of lies threaten all that they have accomplished in their relationship? This book has just the amount of sexy, heart, humor, and romance rolled into one, and is surely a must-read for those who love such a book.

After a meeting, he bluntly asks for a hookup, which Eva graciously refuses. Day after day, Gideon asks, until she finally caves in. Once they hook up once, however, once is never enough! "He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot" Hookup after hookup, and they finally become NYC most popular couple. However, no one sees Eva and Gideon's past than each other; with the two of them together, they become the mirrors that reflected each other's most private wounds... and desires. Wil the pasts of Gideon and Eva aid in their passionate relationship, or will it cause everything they do to burn up in flames? This book has humor, emotional angst, scorching love scenes, and a compelling storyline; key for any reader longing for an amazing read!!

Review: Forever with You

All of J. Lynn's books are amazing, but this may be her best yet! The book begins with Stephanie, a girl who just moved into town, making progress moving into her apartment. She has trouble moving boxes into her apartment, and Nick is the one who helps her out. Stephanie later goes to Mona's, the local bar, and finds Nick working. They have a one night stand, and they are supposed to be well on their way out of their lives; however, something happens so they have to get together again.

Stephanie has never been in love, but that does not mean she does not believe in it. Her past comes up, again and again, that makes her scared of love. Even when Nick falls straight into her lap, she does not recognize that this is true love. Nick as well has a past that permits him from staying in a relationship; he is known to have flings, and nothing more, and just like Stephanie, he is scared to be in a relationship. But, for the first time, he sees something in Stephanie that he has not noticed in a girl before. “As long as I've known him, he's never been serious about anyone. He's probably going to need a substantial learning curve when it comes to not saying things that are going to pi** you off.”

Sure enough, Nick and Stephanie get back together after their one-night stand. Stephanie falls for him but is scared that he does not feel the same way about her. Nick, too, is scared to love Stephanie, because he felt the connection from the first time they met, but is he able to convince her that he loves her?“Nick seemed to sense just when I needed him. Even if he was asleep, his arms would tighten around me, sometimes, when my recklessness woke him, he would talk to me until I fell back asleep, distracting me with some of the crazy things he'd seen while working at Mona's. He was simply there for me, and I let him in completely. And there was no denying how much I loved this man.”

This book has so many plot twists (in a good way), and even though there are MANY sad moments, there are also funny, laugh out loud ones. If someone is looking for a heartwarming, sad, laughable romance, this is the one for you!

The book begins with Jacqueline, a college bass player, who bails out of a Halloween party and almost gets raped by a "friend" of hers; Lucas/Landon/Mr. Maxfield comes to her rescue and saves her. Between Jacqueline and Lucas, an instant attraction radiates, and when Lucas vanishes (or so it seems), Jacqueline is all in to find this mystery guy. She soon finds out that Lucas is in her econ class (but not as a student); once their attraction begins, it is only a matter of time for them to become completely head over heels for each other. However, his dark past and her bright future threaten to tear them apart. Together, they fight the pain and guilt, finding the true power of love. "Love is not the absence of logic but logic examined and recalculated hated and curved to fit inside the contours of the heart".

Review: Going Too Far

This is the first book that I have read from this author, but I am eager to read her other novels. Going Too Far is a powerful romantic novel that persuades to the reader that true love can begin anywhere, with anyone(even if that means in a cop car with a cop and a criminal). The book begins with Meg, and all she has ever wanted to do is to get away; away from her high school, parents, and away from her life. And one crazy evening involving a "dare and forbidden railroad tracks, she goes way too far... and almost doesn't make it back". John(a cop). who made a choice to stay in this hometown, is the individual who helps Meg escape a near death situation, and forbids her to spend spring break with her friends. Instead, he requires that Meg will spend a week(spring break) with him, teaching Meg a lesson that she will never forget. Meg pushes him to the limit in the span of 5 days, questioning everything he learned t the police academy. He soon pushes back, and they drive each other over the edge; is it too far for John and Meg, or is it just enough for them to confess their love? This novel has just the amount of heart, humor, and rebelliousness, and it is truly a must read.

Review: Beautiful Secret

Beautiful Secret by Christina Lauren

This book is the second to last book in the Beautiful Series. Countless authors and critics have applauded this piece of literature, and it is truly a masterpiece. The book begins with Ruby Miller, and her boss announces that he is sending her on an extended business trip with her long time crush, Niall Stella. To Ruby, Niall is the complete package, which includes being "the hottest man alive". Spending a month alongside her crush, and almost certain that Niall has no idea who she is, she keeps her cool (somewhat), and makes it seem like two coworkers rather than an ongoing crush. Until their "flirty overnight flight makes him sit up and take notice". Niall is recently divorced, however, and he describes himself as hopeless when it comes to women. Is Niall willing to take a leap for Ruby? And if he does, will their relationship continue after the month long trip? This book has sass, humor, heart, and the perfect amount of romance. It is truly a must read!
